dress to impress : summer 2O12

summer brings us a few things. heat, new and hot crushes, horrid sunburns, cute new flip flops, trendy nail polish and some fabulous new fashion trends! one thing that i love to do in the summer is going out and just dressing up for fun. from struttin the streets of new york city, to going to the horse races in saratoga, to going out for a brunch on the town or even to a family reunion. today i have put together some outfits and looks that could be categorized as attire to attend a place where you will be "dressing to impress". enjoy looking through today's ootd look book. xx

denim must haves sumemer 2O12

denim has been crashing like waves all over all the magazine covers, the models, the shelves in the stores, the pages of fashion bloggies and over our friends. i think my go to summeranything has denim in it, i pack it when going away, use an old denim shirt as a cover up, wear jean shorts almost everyday, and love my new madewell denim shirts.
i also like experimenting with different shades of denim, bleached, white, black, dark wash & so on. but together both mary and i have collaborated to put together some amazing and some of the latest denim must haves for this summer!

weekend in california

while everyone was lighting sparklers and playing in the pool for the fourth of july, little miss brunette was carted off to JFK to fly to Los Angeles to spend the weekend with her cousins, and her mom and sister. during the trip we hung out at venice beach and had a super fun time.we also journeyed over to malibu to the getty gardens and to the malibu beach (and omg was it amazing there, it was like a scene from the little mermaid). there were surfers, and sea urchains, and pelicans, and oh lets not forget the huge starfish that were bombarding the beach. i hadso mcuh fun, and i can not wait to venture back!

even walking along the sidewalk at the venice beach was even an adventure! there were many street vendors, preformers, skateborders, and yes even celebrities! being in this different enviornment was a learning experiance, and it made me think about life on the other side of the turf turns out i love california so much that i might even move there when i am older, but perhaps to a different area! ss

lucy lovin

lucy hale has been on our watch list for a while. she has a style that is so unique and is so personalized. we see that she allows her outfits to describe herself or rather to describe the mood that she is in. her style can go from rock edgy, to posh glamorus! she also likes to change up her hair, whether it is in a messy up-do, some beachy waves, or even slicked back and to the side. and wheter she is walking the red carpet, the set of pretty little liars or is out with her boyfriend or friends, she knows how to put herself together! xx

brunette's dream summer vacations

have you ever just had a lazy week during the summer? well trust me i can tell you i have had many of them in my past summers... and i always watch movies, listen to music, go on the computer & etc. but what i love to do more than anything else is plan out perfect summer vacations. places where i could see me and my friends going, or just going by myself, or even with the fam!!

Santa Monica, CA

this destination is a classic in my book. i have been going here for many years and it is the perfect pot to spot celebs, go tanning and for bike rides all over! perhaps i will going sometime soon!

 Hawaii

dream of a lifetime is located right here. i have always wanted to go to hawaii ever since i was a little girl. i plan on going there sometime next year, but i am not quite sure when exactly... hmmmm 

Monte Carlo

the trip of a lifetime would have to be to visit monte carlo. i love everything about this city, it is beautiful it is breathtaking and is everything i have ever dreamed about!

Bora Bora

if i ever wanted to escape my life. peek into a new chapter, a chapter of peace and serenity, i would book myself a ticket strait to bora bora. so let me get out my suitcase, tanning oil and suit and go go go!

Paris

the city of romance, the city of love. located right here luckie duckie blondie has been there, but they wont know what hit them until brunette struts the streets!

Spectacular Sandals

Now that summer has finally arrived, it is time to whip out the array of sandals that you have been dying to wear! I have seen sandals in all shades of colors, sandals that has millions of sequins on them, and of course sandals that are bedazzled. Although my life motto is "more is more", I story believe that when it comes to shoes, simplicity is best. Although there are the times when there are exceptions, (such as a pair of glitzy, glittery shoes, when in doubt stay simple).
