pretty little liars inspired outfit

i am so so so so soooo excited for tonight. many of you abc family lovahs will know why! its the summer premiere of pretty little liars!! i am beyond excited to see what the rosewood girls have in store for us and even better, what A is going to do to mess with their pretty little minds. so with tonight being the summer series premiere of pretty little liars, i have decided to put a look together that i think the character of aria would wear. i chose to do the classic pretty little liars black dress attire, which i believe was their first or second season promo banner! anyways i am obsessed with it and had a perfect outfit in mid for it as well.
i hope you guys like this and if you do, let me know and maybe i will do more get the looks/character inspired posts of more of the liars, or of other tv shows! thanks again for stopping by.
my dress is from a thrift shop in new york city called beacons closet. i love this dress so much, and it just screams aria to me! (whenever i wear it i feel like im on the show hehe)
my tights are from target, they are just a floral crocheted pair of black tights and what i love the most about them is that one size fits all! this is the bottom of the dress with black lace trim and black tool.
my heels are from steve madden, they are chunky and suede, which makes them both chic and comfy!
I'm still here, b*tches. And I know everything.

NY STREET STYLE; BY COLOR

Hello all! Although Miss Lindsey is the YouTube connoisseur of Being Blonde and Brunette, I discovered a cool tag on YouTube called the Rainbow Tag. This involves choosing your favorite makeup/ beauty/ or accessories of different colors of the rainbow. Today, I'm going to be sharing with you my favorite beauty products (and some accessories) that follows the colors of a rainbow, specifically- RED, ORANGE, YELLOW- GOLD, GREEN, BLUE-TEAL, PURPLE, AND PINK!
Enjoy.

My two favorite red products are
01. Mac's Cherry Lipliner- a beautiful, bright, cherry red that creates the base for a gorgeous red lip. My favorite thing to do is fill in my lips with this pencil and use a clear gloss over it to give it some shine.
02. Urban Decay's Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Theodora- this gloss pencil is awesome! It gives a nice shiny look and has a thick, pigmented consistency that lasts hours!

My three favorite orange products are:
01. Mac's Rubenesque Paint Pot- a gorgeous shimmery peachy gold base that is perfect to wear underneath shadow or even on it's own.
02. Mac's Melon Pigment- Another sparkly peachy gold shadow that can be used for many different eye looks. Add clear nail polish to some of the pigment and create your own orangey-peachy-gold polish!
03. YSL's Rouge Volupté in #30- This is a GORGEOUS coral-orange lip color for those summer days and nights. Complements any skin tone for sure.

My five favorite yellow/gold things:
01. Mac's Indianwood Paint Pot- A thick, beautiful gold base that is perfect for any gold eye look.
02. Mac's Dazzle Lipstick in Sheer Seduction- A gorgeous peachy-gold shimmery lip color that I have been loving lately.
03. Mac's Soft and Gentle Highlighter- Adds a beautiful highlight and shine to the cheekbones, nose, and cupid's bow.
04. Lush's Let the Good Times Roll- one of my FAVORITE face scrubs. It's made with maize and cornflour- so it gives your skin a deep cleanse and smells amazing.
05. Murano Glass Necklace- from Murano (Venice, Italy)

My three favorite green products:
01. Macadamia Deep Repair Masque- The BEST conditioner I've ever used in my life. It makes your hair so incredibly soft and smooth- I highly highly recommend this one.
02. Clay Mask Avocado &  Oatmeal- One of my favorite face masks ever! It smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and squeaky clean.
03. Great Lash Clear Mascara-  I love using this for my brows- it helps keep the shape of them and sets my brow powder.

My favorite blue/teal things:
01. Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Misfit- An amazing combination of a bright highlight and a deep teal blue- highly pigmented and pretty!
02. Urban Decay's 24|7 Pencil Liner in Electric- A pretty electric blue liner for days that you want to have fun with your makeup!
03. Mac's Extended Lash Mascara- I love using this mascara for when I apply false lashes- it's a small, easy brush to use.
04. Benefit's Porefessional- My favorite makeup primer! Reduces the size of pores and leaves your skin silky smooth.
05. Two Faced Shadow Insurance- One of my favorite eye primers (the cheapest out of Mac, UD, and Nars)

My favorite pink products:
01. Mac's Viva Glam Nicki- (ORIGINAL)- love this bright hot pink color - it's perfect for Spring and Summer.
02. Mac's Mineralized Blush in Supernova- A gorgeous swirl of light peachy bronze and deep hot pink. A bit avant-garde for everyday use, but still really cool.
03. Ed Hardy Perfume- I don't know what it is about this scent, but I absolutely am obsessed with it. It's light, airy, not to sweet and not to sour.
04. Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Hot- Again, I absolutely love this scent- it's not too strong but awesome and understated.

where life takes me

recently i have been contemplating many things that life has decided to hand to me. i have been so confused and very tense lately, and its time for me to find out who i am and let god, or whoever take me where i need to be. sometime i wonder what else is out there.
my parents have been hounding me to get another summer job because they are so used to me working three jobs in the summer, but now i'm down to merely two. such a pity, eh? i dont think so, i am also in a show this summer, which i am so excited for (it also has to do with this post), the show is suessical. and at first i was not so into it, until the music was on repeat on my iphone. the show is about misfits in two different worlds who learn that they are not always alone in the universe, and that no matter how people treat you or discourage you, you have to move on confidently. like all musicals, and sometime in life at the end people accept you for who you are instead of trying to mold you or put thoughts in your mind.
this message of the show pertains to my life to a tee right now, and well ever since i was a little girl. i know that people make fun of me for who i am, i know i'm not perfect, and not everyones cup of english breakfast tea, i'm more of a passionfruit kinda gal. i know my parents do not approve of everything i do, but hey, whose does?
i know that people laugh at my videos, but hey they still watch them ; i know that some people think i waste my time with my blog, but i dont think so, i have gone so far already, why stop ; i know that people judge me from my past, but why not look at everything and everyday as a new beginning
above all i know that through my youtube video's, and my blog, i have gained confidence, a kind of confidence nobody can discourage me from or try and take away from me.
i might be wild, but i'm free : i might be different, but at least i'm not like everyone else : i might have ideas too big for the universe to handle, but i know i can handle them (eventually)
i know that god has wonderful plans for me, plans that i know none of and that i will go far in life, it is not just a feeling, its a destiny, a fate, ultimately it something i was born to do.
my goals for the summer is to live everyday as it were my last. i'm going to be that girl who looks her best, because i want to. i'm going to be that girl who travels on a whim, who doesn't cancel plans, who looks for the good of things, the girl who lives in the light instead of the shadows, and finally the girl who can do anything she sets her mind to.

diy : hair ties

elastic hair ties are the new scrunchies, they are the new it product for your hair! it is so hard to find someone nowadays' who is not wearing one of these fabulous hair ties! i have been using these hair ties for almost a year now, and they are my favorite; besides not having damaging metal pieces, they can also be worn as a form of bracelets. i think my favorite part about them are that they are crease free and that they come in such a wide variety of colors!
the only thing i dont like about these hair ties is that they run from about $3 to $20 a pack, which is absolutely ridiculous, especially because they are simply elastic! these are absolutely the easiest hair accessories to make, and the cutest (if you ask me!!)
supplies needed :
a ruler
a pair of scissors
elastic ( i got mine from here! )
getting started:
1. measure 8.5″ of elastic. it is up to you if you want to make it longer, you have to think what will fit in your hair and on your wrist.  i found that this length fits perfectly snug around my wrist.
also make sure to cut the elastic at a slight angle to help it from fraying.
2. wrap the elastic around your fingers to form a loop, then pull it through to tie a knot. avoid pulling on the edges to since this will make the ends fray, leave some room for the 'tail'. tie the knot at the top and make sure you don’t tie the knot in the middle or your hair tie will be too small!

these are all the hair ties i made today, the color is off because of the lighting! they are so pretty to wear and so easy to make! i hope you enjoy them!

NY STREET STYLE; Bright & Early

Good morning guys! Today, I'm sharing with you an outfit I put together the other day that's perfect for this last week of May.

One of my favorite easy and creative thing to do with flannel-type shirts is to put them over dresses. Here, I'm actually wearing a paisley-print dress from Urban Outfitters, and I put my light denim American Eagle button down on top! I buttoned the shirt all the way up, but tied the bottom into a cute little knot to create a more summery feel to this outfit!
